Presentazione dell’Associazione

Il Gruppo Donatori Sangue FRATRES di Augusta è un’Associazione di ispirazione cristiana che crede nell’importanza della donazione come gesto di solidarietà e generosità. Si avvale di volontari, persone impegnate, preparate, attente agli altri.

La donazione è un atto volontario, anonimo, periodico, gratuito e soprattutto responsabile. È un piccolo gesto which makes it great.

The Brethren of Augusta was established in 1984 with the purpose of broadcasting on its territory an adequate awareness to the donation of blood and blood components.

- promote local health education and training as a culture of the gift at all levels of school social life;

- protect the health of donors promoting health education and prevention through proper use of medical facilities exist.

Group's history begins in Augusta Fratres along with that of the Brotherhood di Misericordia della nostra Città in armonia con le direttive delle Misericordie d’Italia le quali prevedono che, ove è possibile, accanto alle Misericordie, in un connubio di grande fraternità, umanità di amore, si formino i Gruppi Donatori di Sangue Fratres, e questo si è puntualmente e provvidenzialmente verificato anche ad Augusta.

Circa 27 anni fa il Presidente del Kiwanis Club di Augusta, un pilota del porto di origine toscana, Gianfranco Gasperini, portò avanti come iniziativa del suo anno sociale la costituzione delle due Associazioni con un atto notarile del 6 dicembre 1984. Così venivano ufficialmente costituite Misericordia e Fratres.

La sede Fratres è dotata dell’autoemoteca, di una sala di raccolta temporanea e di una sala archivio e direzione, mentre condivide con la Misericordia un salone conferenze ed un ampio parcheggio che ospita le varie ambulanze, l’autoemoteca e i mezzi della Protezione Civile.

Il fine dei Donatori Fratres è quello di aiutare i talassemici ed i fratelli bisognosi, anche nelle emergenze e nelle calamità, senza protagonismi, senza pretendere ricompense e mantenendo l’anonimato, seguendo così il dettame Gospel "not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth."

Concezione della vita

Vivere la vita cogliendone gli aspetti positivi per poter risolvere o alleviare le mille fatiche a cui essa ci sottopone. Avere sempre la consapevolezza e l’umiltà di rispettare la vita e la libertà delle persone. Avere la capacità di cogliere in ogni giorno che la vita ci regala il meglio che alberga in ognuno di noi senza lasciarci tentare dal pessimismo. Agire sempre per il bene e nel rispetto del prossimo. Educare i figli verso l’amore e il rispetto reciproco, nel senso civico e nel senso di responsabilità in quanto ogni nostra azione ha una ripercussione sulla vita degli altri e nel mondo che ci circonda.

Attività attuale dell’Associazione

Credere fermamente nella cultura della donazione del sangue mi ha stimolato ad impegnarmi costantemente nel perseguire i fini istituzionali dell’Associazione. sono due i momenti della mia vita che hanno segnato   tutto il mio percorso professionale che ,assieme all’impegno   familiare, ha costituito l’architrave della mia esistenza; il primo evento che ha indirizzato le mie scelte professionali l’ho vissuto all’età di 16 anni circa quando dalla lettura di alcune riviste mediche è sorta in me una curiosità. forse sarebbe meglio dire una pulsione, a “scoprire” il corpo umano con le su e malattie e gli eventuali rimedi, a cercare di capire la sofferenza dell’uomo, spiegarmi perché si arriva alla morte; e da queste riflessioni derived my choice of university and in the following decades of my professional career.

Curriculum

Since high school I developed a keen interest in the humanities, particularly history, philosophy and political thought. From here came one of the decisive impulse that led me to politics, playing political roles over the years (Secretary of the PCI section of Augusta from 1973 to 79 and 83 since 1981, provincial board member, Chairman of the provincial control, component the Commission regional control) and institutional (Provincial Council from 70 to 75, City Council from 75 to 85 and then from 94 to 98). • una società veramente umana è una società nella quale ogni uomo deve avere la possibilità di vivere una vita degna di essere vissuta. Ciò richiede che si coltivino e sviluppino quelle tendenze naturali positive e costruttive dell’uomo, governando di contro le tendenze negative e distruttive che certamente sono presenti in ogni essere umano;
• una società a misura d’uomo deve riconoscere, proteggere e garantire attraverso le sue istituzioni e leggi alcuni diritti fondamentali senza la cui concreta fruizione la dignità umana risulta gravemente sfregiata;
• non basta tuttavia la sola garanzia giuridica dei diritti fondamentali ma occorre altresì coltivare e arricchire la dimensione etica della vita che si esprime in alcuni valori che contribuiscono a dare senso e significato alla vita: fratellanza, solidarietà, amicizia, altruismo. Valori che si esprimono per esempio nel detto evangelico “Non fare agli altri ciò che non vorresti fosse fatto a te” e nella massima kantiana “Agisci in modo da considerare l’umanità in te e negli altri mai come mezzo ma sempre come fine ”. Naturalmente so bene che si tratta di valori che non possono avere una codificazione giuridica ma che sono decisivi per vivere una “vita buona” in una società giusta o che comunque si avvicini all’ideale della giustizia (su alcuni di questi temi mi soffermerò nel corso degli incontri). Alla luce di tutte le considerazioni sin qui svolte si comprendono le ragioni che mi hanno portato a far parte dell’Unitre che si presenta sempre di più come luogo di conoscenza, socialità, crescita umana e culturale: un’associazione viva, partecipata, capace di dare non solo informazioni ma anche di offrire molteplici occasioni di incontri grazie ai quali la terza età può essere non meno ricca di stimoli e interessi della stessa giovinezza.

What prompted me to volunteer or to the service to the city and how I live my involvement in the Association or the club?

In 1989 I was part of a club of Syracuse Athletics, was a top athlete, competed with excellent results, living my disability in a positive way.

For the first time in my life I felt the protagonist and the viewer is not helpless, unable to participate. For this reason, a year later I decided, together with a group of friends, to found a company in Augusta, to ensure that children with disabilities to live in my town that fantastic experience that I had already got to try and be so entered in the sports world but also socially.

We all students of the first computer course, after following the first two lessons ; prof. Blanco, we tried to put into practice what they have learned, doing our homework.

We introduced ourselves, each with his laptop in the school that hosts us and we divided into two classrooms, assisted by two guardian angels: Mrs. Franca, wife of our President and Mr. Franco Bari (note my husband). I would not want my viewpoint is biased, but I think the choice of the two assistants is been adapted to the case because, as well as competent in the field, have proved much, but ... so patiently! They were called here and there to answer, explain, reassure and encourage to continue without being discouraged by difficulties. About I think the difficulty is more immediate control of the mouse, the arrow that crazy darts around the screen without stopping where we want, is a source of nervousness for many, and what about the double-click that you can not do the right speed to be able to open folders and files? The simple answer is practice, practice and more practice, I have been so successful there, trying again and again patiently.
